JULIA DIANE HOUCK January 31, 1950 ˜ May 1, 2020 Julia Diane Houck passed away at her home in Union, WA on May 1st, 2020. Julia was born in Vancouver on January 31st, 1950 to Francis and Janet Kramer. She lived most of her life in Southwest Washington where she graduated from Washougal High School in 1968. Julia then went on to attend Western Washington University where she graduated in 1972. It was there she met her husband of 47 years, Don Houck. Julia worked at both HP and PacifiCorp where she made lifelong friends. She also enjoyed her time as a long haul truck driver for Gordon Trucking. Julia had an adventurous spirit. She enjoyed traveling to Italy, Mexico, Hawaii and throughout the US, and she never missed an opportunity to quilt with friends. Julia was happiest when she was with her family, especially her two grandsons, Oliver and Miles. Julia is survived by her husband, Don; their daughters, Amanda of Portland, OR and Emily (Trevor Karnofski) of Gettysburg, PA; and her sister, Shirley Holdsworth of Casa Grande, AZ. She was preceded in death by both her parents; and younger sister, Susan Craig. A memorial service will be held when appropriate.
