PAYNE, Jerod On Thursday, April 30th, 2020, Jerod Payne, loving son and brother, passed away much too soon at age 36. Jerod was born on June 6th, 1983 in Dallas to David and Judy Miller Payne. He earned the rank of Eagle Scout in Troop #865 in 1999. He graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in 2002 and received his Bachelor of Science Degree from Baylor University in 2005. He became a Master Mason in A.C. Garret Lodge #1216 in 2005. Jerod loved loud black Camaros and driving them fast. He collected guns and rare U.S. currency as hobbies. His favorite job of all time was being a lifeguard at the Dallas Country Club when he was in high school. Jerod was an amazing storyteller and could make anyone laugh and feel comfortable around him. He was a generous person, especially with his kindness and forgiving spirit. His laugh was mischievous and contagious. Jerod was one of a kind and will always be greatly loved and incredibly missed. Jerod is survived by his parents, David and Judy Payne, his brother and sister-in-law, Jonathan and Katie Payne, and his nephew, Weston Payne.
