Donald Lee Yessick
Donald Lee Yessick of Auburn, Alabama and formerly of Birmingham, Alabama was born to the late James and Helen Burch Yessick on August 4, 1953 and passed away on May 7, 2020. Donald worked 40 years for The Southern Company in the corporate office in Birmingham, Alabama. He was the most loving husband, father, and Big D to his grandson. He was a friend to everyone he met in life. He had a prayer cloth ministry and he loved sharing his prayer cloths to anyone that was in poor health like he was. His cancer journey began in May 2012 when his right kidney was removed due to cancer. His 8 year journey battling cancer ended on May 7, 2020. He now has a front seat in Heaven with God and is no longer suffering. His wife of 45 years, daughter and grandson and many friends will forever miss his loving smile and joy for life. The Music Man will always live on in our lives. He was preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth Yessick. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Patricia Cobb Yessick of Auburn; Michelle Yessick Crum of Auburn; grandson Henry David Crum of Auburn, and brother Tommy Yessick of Nashville, Tennessee. A private family Graveside will be held at Town Creek Cemetery. Frederick-Dean Funeral Home is directing.
