WEYGANDT, Robert Earl On Thursday, April 30, 2020, Robert Earl Weygandt, loving husband and father of three children, went home to be with the Lord. Robert was born in 1953 at US Air Force Base in Lancashire, England to Robert and Thelma Weygandt. He grew up in Houston and attended Baylor University on a football scholarship. He received his D.D.S. from Baylor College of Dentistry in 1981 and practiced dentistry for 40 years in Plano, Texas. In November of 1985, he married his wife of 35 years, Martha Joan. They raised two daughters, Lindsey and Audrey, and one son, Eric. Robert had a passion for sports, especially golf and football. He played college football at Baylor University and continued to be a great supporter of both the Baylor Bears and the Dallas Cowboys. He was an avid golfer and could frequently be found on a golf course surrounded by close friends. His happiest times were spent surrounded by his family and friends. He was known for his light-hearted energy, his ingenuous excitement, and his generous spirit. Robert's faith was very important to him, and he loved the Lord Jesus. Robert was preceded in his death by his father Bob, his mother Thelma, and his sister Brenda. He is survived by his wife, three children and their spouses, granddaughter Violet, grandson Villard, and his sister Deb Oliver and her family. With respect to COVID-19 regulations, a private family gathering will be held graveside at Fitzhugh Cemetery in Collin County. A celebration of his life will be planned at a later date
