In memory of
Dahlheim
Daniel Dahlheim, age 61, died March 24, 2020, at his home in Fort Bragg. He was preceded in death by his father, Walter Dahlheim, mother, Marie Dahlheim, and brother Steven Dahlheim. He is survived by his sister, Lynn (Lenny) Hertling, of Boise, Idaho; uncle George Johnson and cousin Bill (Val) Johnson, of Fort Bragg; and cousin Rick (Stephanie) Johnson of Iowa as well as numerous other family members. Dan ran a bulldozer/cat skinner for local logging companies for forty years. Dan (Double-D) was an avid sportsman who especially enjoyed hunting and fishing trips out of state and in Covelo. He competed in local horseshoe tournaments and hosted Friday night book club for his close friends. Dan could tie flies, pour lead fishing weights, sharpen chainsaws, and make knives. Also a gardener, Dan was an inspired cook who could put together dinner from a seemingly empty cupboard. Above all, Dan was a well-loved man with many, many friends. A celebration of life will be scheduled once the shelter-in-place order is lifted.
