Raymond C. Young FORKS TOWNSHIP Raymond C. Young, 85, of Forks Township, PA, formerly of Waldwick, NJ, passed away Thursday, March 26, 2020 in St. Luke's-Allentown. Born October 13, 1934 in New Castle, PA, he was a son of the late Merl and Ida "Pat" (Young) Young. He and his wife, Charlsie A. (Ritter) Young, celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary on January 16, 2020. Ray graduated from State College High School where he lettered in wrestling. He received a B.A. in journalism from Penn State University and a M.A. in English from Fairleigh Dickinson University. He served with the Marine Corps during the Korean War. He retired as owner and operator of the former Libra Advertising. Ray enjoyed playing bridge, collecting comic books and was an avid puzzler. In addition to his wife, Charlsie, he is survived by a son, Charles C. Young and his wife Debra, of Paramus, NJ; a daughter, Kimberlee Rae Whitaker and her husband Samuel, of Edwardsburg, MI; two granddaughters, Nicole and Alyssa; a sister-in-law, Joyce Young, of Altoona, PA; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Robert Young, and a sister, Eleanor Kudart. Due to COVID-19, a memorial service will be announced at a later date.
