Alma C. Shumaker
Alma C. Shumaker, 90, of Liverpool, died on Friday, March 13, 2020, of pneumonia. Daughter of the late Charles and Miriam Aucker Crane, she grew up in Liverpool, graduated from Liverpool High School, Class of 1947, and Central Penn Business School. She was retired from the Pennsylvania State Police, as an executive secretary/stenographer in the Commissioner's Office, after more than 35 years of service. Alma was predeceased by her husband Earl (Ted) Shumaker, and her brother Charles (Rich) Crane. She leaves behind her daughter, Suzanne and husband Norman Watkins of La Habra Heights, CA; her grandchildren, Bryan of Sacramento, CA, and Ashley of Irvine, CA; and her furry family, Reilly, Sammy and Rocky. She is also survived by a sister, Darlene (Jake) Davies of Chambersburg, and sister-in-law, Mary "Fanny" Crane of Liverpool, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews and their families. She was a life-long and active member of The Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd in Liverpool. Memorial contributions may be made to her church, 1000 N. Front Street, Liverpool, PA 17045 or a charity of your choice. Services will be announced at a later date. The George P. Garman Funeral Homes, Inc., 606 N.
