Patricia Ann 'Pat' Vettengl Sept. 17, 1936 - Jan. 22, 2020 Patricia Ann "Pat" Vettengl, 83, of Beaverton, Ore., passed away Jan. 22, 2020. She knew she was loved and was at peace when she passed away from complications arising from vascular dementia and spinal stenosis. Following her wishes, she was cremated by Threadgill's Memorial Services and was interred in her Mother's grave in The Chico Cemetery, Chico, Calif. Her life story can be found at threadgillmemorial.com Pat was born in Coquille, Ore., the only child of Archie and Vera (Warner) Vettengl. Pat's Mother died when Pat was 9. Her father was in the U.S. Navy so Pat went to Chico to live with her grandparents, Ernest and Della Warner. Pat graduated from Chico Seniors High School. Pat then moved to Coos Bay, Ore., to live with her father and stepmother, Rosalie (McClaskey) Vettengl. She began working for General Telephone, which morphed over the years into Verizon. Pat moved to Beaverton when she was transferred by "her" company. Pat lived in the Bethany area for 30 years then, after being diagnosed with vascular dementia, moved to Hearthstone of Beaverton Assisted Living where she loved living until she passed. Pat is survived by her stepbrother, William McClaskey of Sacramento, Calif.; cousins, Sherry Stephens of Granite Bay, Calif.; Michael (Jayne) Smith of Chico and Cindy Smith of Chico; niece, Helen (Paul) Harding of Clovis, Calif.; nephews, Frank Souza of Florence, Ore., and Roy Souza of Elk Grove, Calif.; Carol Phillippi and her family, Pat's friend of 60 years and many other friends.
