Freddie Lee Miller Freddie Lee Miller was born October 14, 1936 in Lexington, KY to his parents Carl Miller & Jane (Shearer) Miller. He transitioned to be with his Lord on March 2, 2020 while his wife Ileane & son Jeffery held his hands. He graduated from Kirkland High School in Ohio June 1954.Freddie worked with Thoroughbred horses & as a Veterinary Assistant until he joined the Navy January 1958., where he served 4 active years & 2 active reserve as AMSAN at McGuire AFB. He received the Spirit of Honor award on March 28, 1958. Freddie married his wife Ileane Welchman Miller on March 28, 1959 at her family's Methodist Church in Congers, NY. They were to celebrate their 61st Wedding Anniversary March 28, 2020. He purchased a Sunoco service station in Lexington, KY where they enjoyed life for several years. Later he joined the sales force with W.R. Grace as an Ag/Chem Sales Manager. Retiring in 1988 & moving to New Glarus, WI. where he & his wife opened a gift shop called The Little Villager. Freddie & wife were members for 22years at the United Church of Christ in New Glarus, WI. Freddie was also a long time active member of Lyons & American Legion in Wisconsin.He loved to hunt & fish with his sons Jim & Jeff and often took his granddaughters Jessica Spree (Jane's daughter) & Nicole Miller (Jims daughter) fishing at Yellowstone Lake in Wisconsin. He and Jim loved building furniture together; retailing it at The Little Villager (our shop) that was filled with local artisans of the midwest. Jim & wife Sandi were in the process of building a large work shop at his farm in Wiota, WI when he was fatally injured in a motorcycle accident on September 5, 1998. Survived by his wife, Ileane, daughter Jane L Miller (granddaughter's Jessica Spree and Sarah Noble. Daughter Jolene Weisner(granddaughter's Beth Simons & Grandsons Drew & Pete Weisner. Son Jeffery J Miller & son in law Aldo J Celeste. Daughter in law Sandra Matula; widow of James M. Miller & granddaughter Nicole L Miller. Also his oldest brother, Richard Miller whom resides in Ocala, FL. Also many Nieces & Nephews & GreatGrand children. A very special thanks to the Doctor's & Nurses @ Eisenhower Hospital and Reliance Hospice for the heart felt care. Freddie was a happy easy going guy always enjoying the simple life and ready with jokes or fun horse stories. He loved to reminisce since he spent many of his early years living on Kentucky horse farms. He was the love of my life & we and our children made many happy memories together. His cremains will be buried at Old York Cemetery in Blanchardville, Wisconsin.
