age 87, passed away Friday, March 20, 2020, in Westlake, OH. Known by many as the gregarious lady with the flower in her hair, Jean was a longtime volunteer at Fairview Hospital and a member of both the Cleveland Yachting Club and Catawba Island Club. Jean was a graduate of Hathaway Brown School in 1951 and attended Briarcliff College in Briarcliff Manor, New York. She was predeceased by her husband Thomas D. Karcher and sons James C. (Lisa) and Thomas T. Survived by son Robert W. (Joy) of Pinehurst, NC and daughter Jeanette Kirwin (Bob); grandmother of Justin, Julia, Jacqueline, Hailey, and Lindsay Karcher, Jack, Jeff, and Robert Thomas Kirwin; great-grandmother of Drake Hagen; sister of George Tinnerman of Toronto and Henry Tinnerman (deceased); daughter of Jeanette and George Tinnerman, co-founder of Tinnerman Products (now A. Raymond Tinnerman Manufacturing); granddaughter of Joy and Eugene Ledogar, Ida and Albert H. Tinnerman, inventor of the Speed Nut.
