Frank was born to Andrew and Anna (nee Zebliak) Mesarick in Shenandoah, PA on April 26, 1922. He was the eighth of 10 children. Frank graduated from Shenandoah Valley High School. He was determined that he would not work in the coal mines so he immediately left the family home to begin his work career starting in York, PA then transferring to Hickam Field in Honolulu, Hawaii immediately following the attack on Pearl Harbor where he was inducted into the US Army Air Corp (later the U S Air Force) on September 18, 1944 and served until February 6, 1947. His experiences as a young man in Hawaii during WWII marked him for life. He was always so proud of his military service in Hawaii and loved to talk about his jobsite inside an extinct volcano where he repaired engines for the P-38 fighter planes used in the Pacific arena. While in Hawaii he married his first wife June Richter. When they returned stateside he was assigned to Sheppard AFB in Ft. Worth, TX and Offutt AFB in Omaha, NE before beginning a long civil service career working at McClellan AFB in Sacramento, CA, Olmstead AFB in Middletown, PA and finally Tinker AFB in Midwest City, OK where he retired on Feb. 29, 1980. He married Ida Richards in 1970. He spent his long retirement living in Edmond, OK and Rotunda West, FL before returning to OK in 2002. He had a lifetime love of the Air Force and enjoyed attending air shows and building model airplanes. He also collected many model trains over the years. He enjoyed working in his yard and always had the most beautiful yard on the block. After he retired Frank and Ida enjoyed traveling and taking cruises. Frank was preceded in death by his parents, brothers (Ralph, Edward, Joseph, Emmett, Andrew, and John) and sisters (Mary, Julia, and Eleanor), his first wife June A.
