David Bernard Barton It is with great sadness that the family of David (Dave) Barton announces his passing, on Saturday, March 21, 2020, at the age of 77 years in Indio, California. He was born in Richmond, Indiana, and moved to California as a teenager. Dave is lovingly remembered by his wife of 55 years, Marilyn, and his children, Denise, Daneen (Thomas) Wilkerson and Dana (Eric) Newfarmer. Dave is also fondly remembered by his two grandchildren, Nicholas and Kyle Niestroy. David is predeceased by his father, Frederick John Barton and mother, Helen Louise (Schroeder) Barton. David's brother is John Frederick Barton. Dave attended the University of Loyola of Los Angeles and UCLA until his marriage in 1964 to Marilyn Kormann. He worked in the electronics and computer industries until he founded his company, N2Power, Inc., which he owned until his retirement. His hobbies included photography, aviation (as a private pilot) and computer web design. David desired that his body be donated to Science. He was accepted into the program of the University of San Diego Donation Program. A Celebration of Life will be scheduled for friends and family at a future date. Those who wish to may make memorial donations in the memory of David to St. Jude's Childrens Hospital.
