Sigda, Barbara Willis, MI Age 79, passed away Monday, March 23, 2020 at Saint Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor from complications with pneumonia with her family by her side. She was born March 29, 1940 in Brooklyn, NY, the daughter of Frank and Mary (Garrett) Garcia. On June 19, 1965, she married Bruno Sigda and he survives. Barbara was a Registered Surgical nurse for over twenty years. Barbara enjoyed reading, knitting, doing crossword puzzles and spending time with her family. In addition to her loving husband, Bruno, of 54 years, she is survived by: her three daughters, Jeanne Sigda of Tecumseh, MI, Julie Sigda of Ypsilanti and Linda (Tim) Mammel of Brooklyn, MI; two sisters-in-law, Fran Garcia of Ocala, FL and Genia Sigda of West Palm Beach, FL; three grandchildren, Anne Mammel of Leesburg, IN, Rebecca Mammel of Lansing, MI and Thomas Mammel of Horton, MI; and many nieces and nephews that had a special place in her heart. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, a sister Sr. Gloria Garcia, two brothers, Rod Garcia and Frank Garcia, two sisters-in-laws, Louise Garcia and Katherine Sigda, brother-in-law Joseph Sigda and a daughter Anne Marie.
