Anna Hrycyna, 95 Church mother and last original parishioner of Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church in Clifton Anna Hrycyna, 95, passed away peacefully on March 21, 2020. She was born in Poland in 1925 to Matthiaw and Katherina Lipnicka and immigrated to the United States in 1951 with her husband, Myron, who predeceased her in death in 1989. Anna attended the Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church in Clifton and was the last original parishioner. She was mother of the church for many years and involved with Holy Trinity Sisterhood making Ukrainian favorite foods as Pierogie, Babka, Hulubtsi and Makinyky to benefit the church. She was predeceased by her daughter, Irene Sokolowski Chambers, and two grandchildren, Joseph and Christine Hrycyna. She is survived by her son, Joseph Hrycyna, and two daughters, Maryann Burke and Susan Lonergan (Alex). She is also survived by her many loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Amid ongoing concerns about the Coronavirus, Church service on Wednesday March 25, 2020, is limited to immediate family members only.
