Robert L. Banks Jr.
Robert L. Banks, Jr., 82, of Dillsburg, passed away Friday, March 20, 2020, at the Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill. He was born July 27, 1937, in Camp Hill, PA the son of the late Robert L. Banks, Sr. and Irene (Taylor) Banks. Robert retired from the Book of the Month Club, Mechanicsburg. He was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church, Dillsburg and the Northern York County Historical and Preservation Society. Robert enjoyed pastel painting and painted many local scenes from around his community of Dillsburg. He also enjoyed working in the prayer garden of his church at St. Paul's. Robert is survived by his wife of 53 years Sandra (White) Banks; one son, Andrew R. Banks of Dover; one daughter, Kristin J. Kvaternik and her husband Chris of Port Washington, NY; one sister, Jeanne Zimmerman of Camp Hill; and three grandchildren, Evan Banks, Jack and Sam Kvaternik. A public memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to New Hope Ministries, 99 West Church St., Dillsburg, PA 17019 to help people affected by the corona virus.
