Joy Lockhart Schmidt
Joy Lockhart Schmidt, age 94, passed away on Saturday, March 14, 2020. Joy moved to Ft. Walton Beach, Florida, in 1968; and was the office manager for Mobile Communications Corporation for 14 years. Joy was Presbyterian by faith, and attended church at Chapel #2 on Eglin AFB for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband Pat Lockhart in 1986; and by her husband Fred Schmidt in 2003. She is survived by her two sons, Ray Lockhart and John Lockhart, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; nephews, Steve and Brian Freeman, of Scottsdale, Arizona; and a niece, Jackie Nail, of Burleson, Texas. Joy will be buried next to Pat at Barrancas National Cemetery, onboard Pensacola Naval Air Station, Pensacola, Florida. There will be a private memorial service at a later date. Lewis Funeral Home of Milton has been entrusted with local arrangements.
