SHIRLEY ROSE LAROSA Shirley Rose Larosa, 83, passed away peacefully after she lost her battle with cancer Feb. 24, 2020. She was born March 8, 1936, in Chicago, Ill. to Oscar and Gertrude Rosenberg. She lived in Chicago for 40 years. Shortly after graduating high school, she married Allan David Weniger. They had two daughters, Marla and Trude. In 1971 the family moved to Los Angeles, Calif. where she worked as an executive secretary for an advertising company. She was a kind, soft spoken women with a great sense of humor. She was very creative; she loved painting, beading, sewing, knitting, crocheting, puzzles and writing to pen pals. In 1978 she met and married her second husband, Leonard Frank LaRosa. They retired in 1989 to Las Vegas. In 2002 they moved to Pahrump to be near their family and friends where she lived for the past 18 years. Shirley is preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Frank LaRosa; brothers, Michael of Arizona and Joseph Rosenburg of Chicago. She is survived by her daughters, Marla Desmoni of Pahrump and Trude Wolford of Missoula, Mont.; sisters, Patsy, Nancy, Molly; best friend, Margie; five grandchildren, Keagan Williams of Maui, Hawaii, Melody and Rachel Williams of Montana, Anthony Joseph Desmoni of Las Vegas, and Alyssa Desmoni of Oahu, Hawaii; and one great grandchild, Aiden. God will take care of you until we see you again. In lieu of flowers, please donate to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
