In memory of
Karen Borthwick Westfall
Karen Borthwick Westfall Karen Borthwick Westfall parted from us all too soon on Feb. 28, 2020. She leaves behind so much sorrow to the many who love her, especially her husband of 26 years, Gary Westfall. Karen was born in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, on December 14, 1957. As a child, her tenacious spirit was seen in her love and devotion to figure skating. Her early skating talent led her to travel with the Ice Capades in her young adult years. Later her wanderlust led her to explore as many roads as possible at home in the desert and abroad on motorcycles, with her husband Gary and close friends for over 26 years. Evidence of Karen's entrepreneurial spirit can be seen in her successful design business in the desert, "Floor Styles", where she made great design friends and close clients. Many of her family and friend's homes are dotted with her hand-selected rugs and design. And if you did not receive a rug, you most definitely received a card from Karen. She will be sadly missed for all the holiday cards and well wishes she lovingly sent to all. She is survived by: Her husband Gary and stepson James. Her siblings: Heather Borthwick (David Hoff), Greg Borthwick (Michelle), and Hugh Borthwick (Kathleen). Her nieces: Morgan and Michaela Borthwick, and Lauren Borthwick Hoff. Her nephews: Hudson Borthwick, Ryan, Nathan, and Elliot Borthwick-Hoff. Many uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations can be given to The Nature Conservancy at support.nature.org/donate?
