Lawrence 'Larry' Richard Brown March 29, 1932 - Feb. 10, 2020 Lawrence "Larry" Richard Brown, died peacefully Monday, Feb. 10, 2020 from complications associated with cancer. Larry was born in Ft.Wayne, Ind., March 29, 1932 where he met and married Barbara, mother of their six children.They moved to Portland, where they raised their kids who went to St. Pius X Grade School and Sunset High School. Larry eventually relocated to Westminster, Calif., and has lived there for the most part of 40 years. He became a PGA member in his 50s and had loved every minute of being on the golf course. Larry served in the Army during the Korean War and was very proud of serving his country. Larry is survived by his six children, Maureen Shay, Dennis Brown, Peggy Halley, Kathy Fazio, Molly Brown and Patrick Brown; four grandchildren, Dane Brown, Crystal Brown, Moriah Philip and Rachel Shay; and his siblings, Maurice "Moe" Brown, Louann Newport and Kenneth (Kay) Brown. We will miss his bright light, his sense of humor, patience, kindness and love in this world. We will be having a service with full military honors, open to the public, from 11:30 a.m. - 12 p.m., March 13, 2020, at Willamette National Cemetery, Portland. A Celebration of Life will take place from 3:30 - 7 p.m., on his birthday, March 29, 2020, at the David L. Baker Golf Course in Westminster, Calif.
