Barbara Williams Obituary God gained an angel on February 6th, 2020 as Barbara (Chudley) Williams gained her wings. Born September 4th, 1926 in Los Angeles she was the daughter of Ernest & Beatrice Chudley. She joins them and her late husband and first mate of 58 years Tony and son Toby up above. She grew up in Glendale and the San Fernando Valley. She graduated from Mills College in Oakland and became a Social Worker. Later working for the Gas Company and eventually City Hall in Manhattan Beach where she started in Public Works then on to payroll for over 20 years. She was a 57 year resident of Manhattan Beach and a member of the Property Owners Association where she oversaw the distribution of funds to the Roundhouse and other local charities. She enjoyed sailing to Catalina and Mexico, traveling, camping, golf, tennis and soaking up the sunshine in her front yard. She was a fixture on 4th street with her wit, huge smile and joyful approach to life. She leaves many friends, neighbors and family including son Nick (Marilyn), grandkids Chelsea, Jessica & Jason, many nieces, nephews and cousins overseas. We loved her and will miss her but her kind spirit will live on. A celebration of her life will be June 27th at her home.
