Margaret L. "Peg" Golden
Margaret L. 'Peg' Golden BANGOR Margaret L. "Peg" Golden, 91, of Bangor, PA, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2020, at Old Orchard Health Care, Easton, PA. Peg was born in Upper Darby, PA, Oct. 8, 1928, a daughter of the late Robert T. and Caroline (Shaw) McSorley. She was the wife of the late Kenneth W. Golden, who passed away in 2018. Peg was employed as a knitter at the former APEX Texicon in Upper Mount Bethel, PA, until retiring. She was a 1946 graduate of Upper Darby High School. Peg enjoyed playing cards and golfing in her younger years. She was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Bangor where she was a member of the GOWAMS. She was a member of the Bangor Women's Club, The Red Hat Society, and formerly bowled in the Elk's Women's Bowling League for many years. Peg is survived by three daughters, Patsy Menecola, wife of Donald, Lee Ann Lambert, wife of Louie, and Terri Snyder, wife of Mickey; a sister, Dot Rice; three grandchildren, Jackie Keith, David Menecola, and Bo Snyder, and three great-grandchildren, Alayna and Ariella Menecola, and Paisleigh Snyder. She was preceded in death by a sister, Carol Piselli. Family and friends are invited to call from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 14, at the Gaffney Parsons Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc, 4 Lillian Ln., "Village of Johnsonville" Bangor, PA. Service will be private at the convenience of the family. Online condolences may be offered at gaffneyparsons.com . In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Portland - Upper Mt.
