Irving Michael Danielson
Irving Michael Danielson Jan. 28, 1935 - Feb. 6, 2020 Mike was born in Sacramento, Calif. He was raised in Palo Alto, Calif., and graduated from Stanford, later attending Stoniers and Rutgers graduate schools. Michael served four years in the Navy, rising to the rank of Commander. He started his banking career with Wells Fargo in Calif., later moving to The Oregon Bank as President in Portland. His banking career continued in Salt Lake City and Phoenix, Ariz. He served on the 2002 Salt Lake City Olympic committee bringing the Olympics to Salt Lake. He also served as Director of Economic Development for the City of Salt Lake. He was active with charities including Boy Scouts and United Way. Mike retired to Portland and later moved to Bend, Ore. Mike loved his family, spending time at Black Butte and traveling the world with his wife, Romy. Mike is survived by his wife of 60 years, Romy; son, Eric (Jeanne); daughter, Kristen (John); four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. A private service will be held at a later date.
