Elmer Morris Harvey
Elmer Morris Harvey Evansville - Elmer Morris Harvey, 81, of Evansville, passed away on February 11, 2020 at Heritage Center in Evansville, IN. He was born May 2, 1938 to Geneva and Clarence Harvey. He graduated from Lynnville High School in 1956. Elmer was a 4-H member for 10 years and was an International Farm Youth exchange to England and Wales in 1960. He graduated from University of Evansville in 1961 and Indiana State University in 1967. Elmer was enlisted in the United States Army from 1961 until 1965 as a member of the 103rd Combat Engineers. He was a welder/blacksmith/machinist. He married Sharon S. Smith on June 6, 1964. He taught in the Warrick County School Corporation for 32 years as an art teacher. Elmer was a life time member of ISTA, NEA, IFYE, a fifty plus year member of the Lynnville Masonic Lodge #396 F. & A.M, and a member of the WCRTA. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Laura Whitney; uncles, aunts and cousins. Elmer is survived by his wife of 55 years, Sharon Harvey; sons, Flynn Harvey and Blake Harvey; brother-in-law, Don Whitney; niece, Tia Whitney; nephews, Steve and J.D. Whitney; cousin, Mike Harvey and other cousins. Graveside Service at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 22, 2020 at Maple Grove Cemetery. Per his last wishes there will be no visitation.
