Mildred Poploski Service is Friday for great-grandmother, longtime Union resident Mrs. Mildred Poploski, 91, died surrounded by her loving family on Feb 10, 2020, in Cranford, N.J. Mildred was predeceased by husband Anthony, sister Florence DeRocco, and brother Stanley Graboski. She is survived by her three children, Sandra Kazemi and her husband, Ahmad, Lorraine Furfero, and James Poploski and his wife, Kelly. Mildred was loved by eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Born and raised in Ranshaw, Pa., Mildred relocated to Newark, N.J., following her marriage, later moved to Irvington, N.J., finally settling as a 42-year resident of Union, N.J. Mildred was a licensed beautician and a factory worker at Dairy Maid Chocolate and DS Plumb companies. Family and friends are invited for visitation at Higgins and Bonner Echo Lake Funeral Home, 582 Springfield Ave., Westfield, N.J., on Thursday, Feb. 13, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Friday, Feb. 14, at 10 a.m. at St. James the Apostle Church, Springfield. N.J. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America.
