The Reverend Monsignor Vincent Joseph Smith, 90, of Country Meadows Retirement Community, Mechanicsburg, died Saturday, February 8, 2020. He was the son of the late William and Mary (Sullivan) Smith. He was a graduate of Saint Mary's Seminary, Baltimore and was ordained a Priest on May 28, 1955 in Saint Patrick Cathedral Harrisburg by Bishop George L. Leech. During his Priesthood his assignments include serving as Parochial Vicar of Saint Patrick, York, Saint Patrick Cathedral, Harrisburg, Saint Theresa, New Cumberland, and Saint Paul the Apostle, Annville. He was named Pastor of Saint Paul the Apostle, Annville and Church of the Good Shepherd Church, Camp Hill. He was in residence at Saint Katharine Drexel following his retirement. Services and burial will be held at the convenience of the family. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at the Church of the Good Shepherd, Camp Hill at a later date. Burial will be in Saint Lawrence Cemetery, West Haven, Connecticut. Arrangements are being handled by Malpezzi Funeral Home, Mechanicsburg. www.MalpezziFuneralHome.com
