Percy Ray Hyatt
Percy Ray Hyatt, age 76, passed away at his home in Big Point, MS, surrounded by his family on Sunday, February 9, 2020. He was born on July 11, 1943 in Moss Point, MS. He married Mary Hacker on January 25, 1963 and recently celebrated 57 years of marriage. Percy operated his own plumbing business known as Hyatt's Plumbing for over 50 years. He was known for his love of fishing, spending time with his family at his camp on Cedar Creek, and labeling his belongings in his spare time with "P.H." He is preceded in death by his parents, Opie Dan and Clara Mae Hyatt, his brothers, Otis Ancel, Donnie, and Willie Hyatt, and sister, Frances Hyatt. He is leaving behind three loving daughters, Elaine (Charles) Woodyard, Tammy Hyatt, and Joyce (Ronald) Hackney. He also had six grandchildren, Ron (Shannon) Hackney, Jennifer (Travis) Adcock, Mary-Beth (Mason) Paseur, Amy (Matt) Brewer, Taylor Hackney, and Mary-Grace Woodyard, and nine great grandchildren, who he loved dearly, Aiden, Addison, Ace, and Ava Hackney, Gage Damazio, Skylar Paseur, Finn and Cohen Brewer, and Clara Adcock. Services will be held at Heritage Funeral Home in Moss Point, MS. Visitation will be on Thursday, February 13, 2020 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. The funeral service will be held on Friday, February 14, 2020 at 2:00 pm with visitation one-hour prior. He will be laid to rest at Union Cemetery in Moss Point, MS.
