In memory of
Richard Gary Rothman
Richard Gary Rothman La Quinta - October 21, 1951 - February 3, 2020 Rick Rothman passed away peacefully on February 3, 2020 at his home in La Quinta, California, surrounded by loved ones. Born in Pasadena on October 21, 1951 to Kenneth Joel Rothman and Charlotte Rothman, he was raised in Encino where lessons and friendships from Encino Little League and Jonas AZA remained important throughout his life. Rick attended San Diego State University where he met his wife, Shari Randall, and was an entrepreneur in both the solar energy and real estate industries. He loved raising his two daughters, coaching girls softball, golfing, bowling, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. He enjoyed a good jacuzzi, live music, a competitive game of bag toss or pickle ball, and beautiful environments including his backyard. Rick's positive and empathic nature made him an excellent mentor and good friend. Rick was preceded in death by his father, Ken. Rick is survived by his mother, Charlotte, his wife, Shari, his daughters, Jodi (Jason) Moore and Emily (J.J.) Riley, grandchildren (Alice Moore, Rex Riley and Nash Riley), his brother, Robert "Robby" (Suzie) Rothman, his nephew Joshua (Katie) Rothman and grandnephew Cooper, his niece Rebecca (Matthew) Rothman-Sarto and grandniece Hazel, and sister-in-law Tonnie Blinks, along with aunts and cousins from the Rothman, Rosner, Wolkoff and Chasnoff families. We are thankful for the support of Rick's aunt Doris Chaikin and the Margoles family as we said goodbye to "Ricky".
