Elizabeth J. Williams PALMER TOWNSHIP Elizabeth J. "Betty" Williams, 91, of Palmer Township, formerly of Bangor, passed away Friday, Feb. 7, 2020, in Easton Hospital. Born Sept. 3, 1928, in Northampton County, PA, Betty was a daughter of the late Margaret (Mich) Force. Her husband of 43 years, John E. Williams, passed away August 22, 2015. She graduated from Easton High School Class of 1946. Betty had been employed by various area local garment manufacturers. She enjoyed find-a-word puzzles, needlepoint and embroidery. Betty was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary to VFW Post 739, Bangor. Surviving are a son, Donn Washburn and his wife, Thelma, of Palmer Township; a grandson, Donn Washburn Jr. and his wife, Stephanie, of Webster, NY, and two great-grandchildren, Jessica and Justin. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by two sisters, Irene Hendershot and Frances Fech. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family in Hay's Cemetery. Arrangements are by the Strunk Funeral Home, Inc., Wilson Borough. Offer online condolences at www.strunkfh.com .
