Terry E. Cole Terry Edmunds Cole, 84, passed away January 9 in Rancho Mirage, CA. Terry was born June 2, 1935 in Orange, CA, to Clifford and Marjorie Cole. He is survived by his wife, Sherry and his daughters, Lisa Creswell, son-in-law Mark, and Cathy Haworth, son-in-law Steve and two stepdaughters, Shannon and Shane Roche. He had five granddaughters, Lexie Kennedy, Lindsay, Nicole and Emily Haworth and Presley Gomez and grandson, Dillon Schwabe. Also surviving are his brother and sister-in-law, Jeff and Jill Cole, sister Jodi Cole and many nieces and nephews. Terry was a graduate of University of California and enjoyed long and enduring friendships with many of his fellow alumni. He was active in his church at Southwest Community Church and was involved with weekly Bible Studies. He started his career as Assoc. Dean of Admissions at Stanford University, then taught at various schools throughout the No. and So. California school systems. Terry moved into the resort development industry, where he spent many years developing and opening popular resorts in Sun Valley, Vail, Newport Beach and Sonora, CA. Terry spent years as Camp Director of Cal's "Lair of the Bear" and went to the Lair for reunions throughout the years. He was an avid Cal Bears Football fan and his favorite saying was "Go Bears." He later became involved in the golf industry, and was Tournament Director for the Mr. 59, Palm Springs Golf & Celebrity and many others. There will be a Celebration of Life to be announced at a later date.
