Patricia Glaude
Patricia Ann Glaude was born in Pascagoula, MS on August 24, 1948. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herman and Bernice Glaude, Sr. She was predeceased by her parents, and her brothers Herman Glaude, Jr., Charles Glaude, Gerald Glaude, Sr., and Adrian Glaude. She is survived by her sisters Dolores Ashford, Cathy Williams (Malcolm), Carol Taite, her brothers Eddie S. Glaude, Sr. (Juanita) and Thomas Michael England, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives. She passed peacefully in the presence of her steadfast friend, Martha (Marty) Dunham on January 9, 2020 in Berkeley, CA. Patricia graduated in 1966 with distinction as Salutatorian from Magnolia High School in Moss Point, MS. She served as a Corpsman and Xray Tech at Marine Base Camp Pendleton. Patricia was honorably discharged from the Navy in 1969, and served 18 years in the U.S. Naval Reserves. In 1976, she earned her Bachelor of Arts from the University of San Francisco, and she was hired as a Federal Postal Inspector with the US Postal Service. Patricia retired in 2001. As a retiree, Patricia remained active, RVing, golfing, attending music concerts, gardening, cooking, and traveling. There will be a Celebration of Life for Patricia on February 15, 2020 from 3:00pm-5:00pm at the Rev. Charles McMahon, SSJ Parish Life Center located at 4102 Market Street, Pascagoula, MS 39567. Final interment will be held in the San Francisco Bay area on February 29, 2020. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that a tax-deductible donation be made to the Alzheimer's Association at www.alz.org .
