In memory of
James Anderson "Jimmy" McCoy Jr.
James Anderson McCoy, Jr. was born March 26, 1965 and passed away on Thursday, January 16, 2020. Jimmy is preceded in death by his father, James A. McCoy, Sr. In April of 2011, Jimmy was diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease). If you knew anything about Jimmy, you knew Jimmy was strong willed and had an even stronger mindset. When he was told that a wheelchair was in his near future, Jimmy proved everyone wrong by walking for 2 more years and continued until his steps became unsafe. Once Jimmy was confined to his wheelchair, it didn't stop his fun-loving character. He had you either running from him or running over you while laughing his very hardest. But the strongest, and most beautiful part of Jimmy was his huge heart. Jimmy had so much love for the people around him and wasn't afraid to express it. And with Jimmy's words becoming more and more difficult to understand, he would tell you he loved you and you genuinely knew it just from looking in his eyes and at his beautiful smile. Jimmy loved nothing more in life than his wife, family and friends and his love is the piece of him that he left behind on earth for everyone. So every-time you feel a small tug on your heart, its Jimmy reminding you how much he loves you. He is survived by his wife, Melissa McCoy; children, Candice Lewis (Blake) and Casie Wolfe (Jeremy); step-children, Shay Jackson (Johnny), Adam Carmack (Jenni), Hali and Blake Rollins; grandchildren, Rylan Redding, Carson and Oaklyn Wolfe, Nathan Mabry, Christian Jackson, Brooklyn, Atticus and Adalie Carmack and Greyson Watts; mother, Sharron McCoy; sibling, Michelle Davis (Paul); niece and nephews,Brandon, Brian and Brooke Davis. Visitation will be Saturday, January 25, 2020 from 1 pm until 3 pm followed by a memorial service at 3 pm. with Pastor Bill Wilks and Pastor Al Choquette officiating.
