Leldon Cochran
Leldon Cochran, age 92, of Hoover, passed away on Sunday, January 19, 2020. He was a graduate of Bessemer High School. He was retired from American Cast Iron Pipe Company after 40 years of service. Leldon was an active member of Saint Mark United Methodist Church, where he enjoyed serving in many ways, including acting as treasurer for over 40 years. He was preceded in death by his wife Eleanor (Fulton) Cochran, his parents, Freeman and Catherine (Smitherman)Cochran, and a sister, Betty Jane Cochran. He is survived by his two sisters, Jackie Burnette, and Annie Rae Watts; his three children, Guy Cochran (Janice), Mark Cochran (Patti), and Ellen Cochran Trimm (Phillip); his seven grandchildren, Guy Cochran Jr., Jennifer Cochran Welch (Courtney), Mark Cochran, Jr. (Ellyn) r Kelly Cochran, Melissa Trimm Aaron (Jody), Wade Trimm (Melanie), and Lea Trimm Collins ( Stephen); his nine great grandchildren; and many nieces & nephews. A Celebration of life service Will be held at Saint Mark United Methodist Church on Thursday January 23, 2020, with visitation 10-11:30 a.m., Service 11:30 a.m., and graveside at Elmwood Cemetery 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to: Saint Mark United Methodist Church, 2901 Columbiana Road, Vestavia Hills, Al 35216.
