GILLY, Phyllis Hawkins Phyllis Hawkins Gilly was born on March 21,1924 in Canon City, Colorado and passed away on January 3, 2020 in Dallas, Texas. Her family moved to Dallas in 1930 where she has lived ever since. She was predeceased by her parents, Gladys and Raymond Hawkins; brothers, Thurmond Hawkins and Robert Hawkins; and her husband of 71 years, Lionel E. Gilly. She is survived by her daughters, Sue Gilly and husband Jack Teague of Dallas, TX; Ruth Kenyan of Houston, Texas; and Mary Gilly Graham and husband John Graham of Irvine, California. Her grandchildren (Ruth's children) Erin Goodell and husband Troy Goodell of Missouri City, Texas; Nicole Herron and husband Nathan Herron of Allen, Texas; and Jared Kenyan and wife Elena Kenyan of Cypress, Texas; (Mary and John's children) Jack Graham and wife Maya Graham of New York, New York; Grace Graham and fiancé Gus O'Malley of Anchorage, Alaska; Greta Dever and husband Scott Dever of Costa Mesa, California; and Emily Graham of Culver City, California. Her great-grandchildren (Erin's children) Wyland, Reagan and Dryden Oeser; (Nicole's children) Kyla and Lucas Herron; (Jared's children) Adelle, Edith, Sybel Kenyan; and (Greta's child) Owen Dever. She is survived by her sister-in-law Bettie Hawkins (Robert's wife) of Odessa, Texas and her daughters Kathy Hawkins Reed and husband Randy Reed of Wichita Falls, Texas; Phyllis Hawkins Zwarich and husband Paul Zwarich of San Angelo, Texas; Helen Hawkins Hadley and husband Billy Hadley of Odessa, Texas; and Gladys Hawkins Wagner and husband Cory Wagner of Gardendale, Texas. She is also survived by her nephew and nieces (Thurmond's children) Hawk Pingree and wife Suzanne Pingree of Friday Harbor, Washington; Barbara Hawkins of St. Paul, Minnesota; and Beverly Hawkins and husband Doug Hacker of Salt Lake City, Utah. She did volunteer work at Children's Medical Center, Washington Street Mission, Meals on Wheels, and Preston Hollow Presbyterian Church where she was President of Women's Work and an Elder. Memorial Service will be held in the Chapel of Preston Hollow Presbyterian Church, 9800 Preston Road, Dallas, Texas, at 10:30 AM on February 8, 2020 after inurnment in the Columbarium at the Church.
