GALESBURG - Shirley M. Jones, 88, Galesburg, died Friday, Jan. 10, 2020, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria. Cremation has been accorded and a private graveside committal service will be held at a later date at the Galva Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Stackhouse-Moore Funeral & Cremation Services, Galva, is assisting the family with the arrangements. Shirley May Sall was born Sept. 11, 1931, in Galva, the daughter of Walter and Alice Fahnstrom Sall. She attended Galva area schools. Shirley served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War era. After her service, she attended business college in Peoria. Shirley married Bernard E. Jones in 1959. The couple moved to Los Angeles after their marriage, and Shirley worked as a title secretary for the F. and A. Credit Union in Los Angeles for 20 years. They loved to dine out, go to Las Vegas and travel around the country. Those surviving are her husband, Bernard, of Galesburg; a sister-in-law, Betty Sall of Galva; and several nieces and nephews, including, Debra and Robert Jeffries of Cambridge.
