Walter W. Bush Nov. 26, 1931 - Dec. 7, 2019 Walter passed away peacefully in his sleep Dec. 7, 2019, joining his beloved wife Mary for further adventures in the great beyond. Born in Boerne, Texas, Walter lived in Dallas, Texas until a wartime move in 1943 brought the family to Spokane, Wash. After high school, Walter enrolled at Washington State College (WSU). It was during this time that Walter met the love of his life, Mary Teresa Leavitt. After a brief detour for military service, Walter graduated from WSU, Mary graduated from Stanford University and the two married in June 1956. A bouncing baby boy followed 13 months later. After three years in Spokane, Walter began a new career with Hallmark Card Company and the family moved to Eugene, Ore., where another baby boy was welcomed into the family. Walter and Mary would spend the next 40 years in Eugene raising their two sons. Upon retirement, Walter and Mary moved to Scottsdale, Ariz., for eight years before finally moving to Hillsboro, Ore., to be near their children and grandchildren. Walter and Mary spent their retirement traveling the world, visiting places both near and far on every continent of the world. Walter was an avid golfer, sports fan and photographer. His wonderful spirit and friendly way will be missed by all. Walter lost his loving wife, Mary in August 2015. He is survived by his sons, Craig Bush and his wife, Mindy, Bruce Bush and his wife, Julie; sisters, Mary Ann McNulty and Pattie Gallwas; six grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 1, 2020, at St. Gabriel's Episcopal Church in Beaverton, OR. Please sign the online guest book at www.oregonlive.com/obits
