Clifford A. Kurelmeyer III
Mr. Clifford A. Kurelmeyer, III, 88, of Panama City, FL passed away Saturday, Jan. 11, 2020. Mr. Kurelmeyer was born Aug. 27, 1931 in Springfield, MO to Clifford II and Grace Kurelmeyer. He was a loving father and grandfather and was very proud of his two daughters. Mr. Kurelmeyer was employed by the United States Postal Service for 31 yrs., retiring as a Level 22 Postmaster. During his years with the postal service, he served on the U.S. Postal Inspection Team. Mr. Kurelmeyer was a member of First Baptist Church of Panama City, a 50-yr. member of the Harry Jackson Masonic Lodge #314, a member of the Shaddai Shrine Temple where he served with the Hot Road Unit. He loved taking children to the Shriners Children Hospital in Tampa for care. He was also on the board of the Postal Credit Union, Innovation Credit Union and Panhandle Credit Union. Mr. Kurelmeyer loved to roller skate in his younger days, in fact he met his first wife who was the love of his life at the skating rink. He loved to dance at the Shrine Temple as well as square dance. Mr. Kurelmeyer was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford II and Grace Kurelmeyer; brother, John; two sisters, Barbara and Gloria; and two great-grandchildren, Nicholas Mark and Alexandria Bailey. He is survived by his two daughters, Debbie Thomas of Panama City and husband Huey and Joy Vossen and husband Rick of Lynn Haven; six grandchildren, Alicia Lashley and husband Brad, Kelly Thomas , Jaime Janetis and husband Michael, Eric Vossen and fiancée Ashley Lovett Morris, Amber Conner and husband Garrett, and Gabe Vossen and wife Kristen; fifteen great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, Jan. 17, 2020 at Southerland Event Center in Lynn Haven with Rev. Clyde Ellison officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Mr. Kurelmeyer's grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Masonic Rites will be accorded. Harry Jackson Lodge #314 will be open at 1 p.m. The family will receive friends at the event center one hour prior to service.
