James A. Walden Nov. 19, 1949 - Dec. 25, 2019 OKLAHOMA CITY Jim was born in Guymon, Oklahoma to Richard and Marcia Walden. He graduated from Kent School in Kent, Connecticut in 1968. He joined the U.S. Navy in 1970 and was stationed in Hawaii. Jim discovered his life's passion for photography at the University of Oklahoma in 1969. He later studied photography in Sacramento before moving to New York City in 1976 to attend the School of Visual Arts and establish his career as a commercial photographer. He returned home in 1982 to study motion picture production and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Oklahoma. Jim continued to shoot commercially for a variety of architectural and advertising clients, while seeking balance in his work through his personal photo projects. He retired in 2012. Jim was diagnosed with kidney cancer in 2013 but he didn't let that stop him from living life the way he wanted to. Jim married the love of his life, Jessie, on October 14, 2013, in Hawaii and spent the years since then travelling and enjoying their lives together. Jim was pre-deceased by his parents, his step-mother, Rita Walden, his sister, Margaret, and her husband, Homa Larijani,and his brother-in-law, Bill Fayssoux. Jim is survived by his wife Jessie, sister Sarah Fayssoux, niece Leila Larijani, nephew David Larijani, son-in-law Lee, daughter-in-law Sasha, grandson Nathan, and many friends. A brief service will be held on January 16th at 11AM in the Chapel at St. Paul's Cathedral.
