Donald Ray Gassett March 31, 1934 - Jan. 10, 2020 BETHANY Donald Ray Gassett, 85, of Bethany, OK, went to be with his Heavenly Father on Jan. 10, 2020. He served in the Army, public education and spent the majority of his career as CEO of Teachers Credit Union in Oklahoma City. He attended Bethany First Church of the Nazarene. Upon retirement, Don volunteered in multiple ways, including at the Bethany First Church of the Nazarene, Bethlehem Project and Reaching Our City. Don is survived by his wife of 67 years, Marlene Riggs Gassett, of Bethany; son, Bryant Gassett and wife Diane, of Yukon, OK; and daughter, DeLana Massey and her husband Dale, of Oklahoma City. His grandkids were his pride and joy: Chad Gassett and wife Leah, Cole Gassett and wife Rachel, Taggert Harris, Jessie Harris, Eric Massey, and Kyle Massey. He has one great-granddaughter, Maisy Gassett. Don will be greatly missed, but will always be remembered by many for his kind, caring and sweet disposition. He also has shown many what a Christian man, husband and father looks like. For this, we are all grateful! A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, Jan. 13, 2020, 10 a.m. at Bethany First Church of the Nazarene. To share a memory or condolence, please visit www.mercer-adams.com
