Gilmore R. Bokelman Evansville, IN - -Gilmore R. Bokelman, 93, of Evansville, passed away Friday, January 10, 2020 at Solarbron. Gilmore was born January 23, 1926 in Evansville to the late Theodore and Virginia (Curry) Bokelman. He was a veteran of the United States Army; a 50 year member of Carpenter's Local 90, member of Masonic Blue Lodge #64, 50 year member of the Scottish Rite and a member of the Cast Iron Tractor Seat Association. Surviving Gilmore are his wife of 70 years, Ida Lee (Sutton) Bokelman; two daughters, Glee Gibson and Sue Henderson, both of Evansville; a sister, Beverly Greer; six grandchildren, Ashley Rodriguez, Courtney Bohleber, Josh Gibson, Sara Gibson, Jake Gibson and Alison Henderson as well as nine great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Gilmore was preceded in death by his daughter, Quanna Hall. Funeral services for Mr. Bokelman will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at Pierre Funeral Home, Rev. Jeff Long officiating. Entombment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery, where the Mt. Vernon American Legion Post 5 will conduct military rites. Friends may visit with the family from 3:00 until 7:00 PM on Monday at Pierre Funeral Home, 2601 W. Franklin Street, where there will be a Masonic service held at 5:00 PM.
