Jerry Mitchel Dickerson
Jerry Mitchel Dickerson Oct. 18, 1950 - Dec. 30, 2019 Jerry Mitchel Dickerson, was born Oct. 18, 1950. He died Dec. 30, 2019 from complications following a stroke at age 69, near his home in N. Carolina. He was predeceased by his father, Dale; and brother, Joe. Jerry was born in Grants Pass, Ore., but raised in this area. He attended St. John's Catholic school in Oregon City for eight years and was in the first graduating class at Gladstone High School. After a stint at CCC he served in the U.S. Navy. He married Teresa Pratt, who died in 1977. Jerry was the kind of person who lit up a room when he entered. He loved his family, playing music and jamming with his guitar buddies. He was a good big brother and kind to his Mama and a big help after his young father passed. Jerry was very much loved and will be missed by all. A celebration of life will be held at a future date to be announced. He is survived by his wife, Arleene, her daughters, Rose and Kim; several grandchildren; son, Chad; siblings, Jeff, Jon, Denise, Doreen; his mother, Ardalee; and nieces and nephews.
