Margaret A. Turpen Evansville, Ind. - Margaret A. Turpen, 83, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away Sunday, January 5, 2020 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital. Margaret was born in Evansville on August 28, 1936 to the late Homer Guy Hazelip and Clara (Schnarr) Martha. She loved her friends dearly Sandy, Sue, and Dee. Margaret enjoyed dancing and listening to music, especially Elvis. In her free time, she loved eating out and going to the casino. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Margaret is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Minton (Glen) of Evansville, IN; son, Donald Wayne Turpen Jr. of Evansville, IN; sisters, Dorothy Marie Padgett (Vernon) and Mary Elizabeth Devers (Lucky), both of Evansville, IN; brother, William "Bil" Hazelip (Sherry) of Knoxville, TN; grandchildren, Chassidy Morell, Chris Carder II, and Chad Minton; and great-grandchildren, Kahlyn Kennedy Hurtz, Dialyn "Bubby" Robinson, Jason Lee Carder, Sky and N'Keo Hassell. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; sons, John Daniels Turpen and Lonni Earl Turpen; and ex-husband, Donald Turpen. There will be no services held at Browning Funeral Home.
