Ronald F. Hamilton Aug. 24, 1948 - Dec. 23, 2019 Ron Hamilton passed peacefully Dec. 23, 2019. He was surrounded by his family and friends. Ron was born in Berkeley, Calif., and grew up in nearby Danville, Calif. He met the love of his life in the summer of 1972 at Crater Lake; he and Robin married just months later Nov. 4, 1972. Ron graduated from Oregon Technical Institute and San Jose State University and went on to work for 29 years as a National Accounts Underwriter for Standard Insurance Company, retiring in 2006. He was a dedicated volunteer of 28 years for the Stepping Stones program through PeaceHealth Hospice, helping grieving children after the loss of a loved one. In his free time, he enjoyed tending his yard, daily trips to the gym, traveling to Hawaii, calling everyone bubba and snuggling with his kitty, Wikie. Ron was preceded in death by his daughter, Mollie Hamilton; sister, Sue Renz; and his parents, William and Helen Hamilton. He is survived by his wife, Robin Hamilton; and daughter and son-in-law, Maggie and Patrick Julian. A service will be held at 12:30 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 18, 2020, at Evergreen Memorial Gardens Funeral Chapel. Please sign the online guest book at www.oregonlive.com/obits
