Jeanne McKenna Staib, 73 Nurse's aide, devoted to her family; born in Staten Island Jeanne McKenna Staib, 73 years young, passed away Jan. 1, 2020. She is survived by her husband, Stephen Staib. She was the mother of Steven Blacker, Michael Blacker and Jennifer Hamell; grandmother of Angelica and Sydnee Blacker, Michael Emmett Blacker and David and Morgann Hamell; daughter of Jean McKenna Georges, Bernard McKenna and Joseph Georges; sister of Mary Barringer, Bernard McKenna, Kathleen Georges, Patricia Smith and Joseph Georges and aunt to many nieces and nephews. Jeanne was born on Staten Island and attended St. Ann Parochial School and St. Joseph Hill Academy. She worked as a pediatric nurse's aide at the New York Foundling Hospital. After moving to Philadelphia, she was a pediatric nurse's aide at Nazareth Hospital, and later a support service aide with the Philadelphia school district. Jeanne was devoted to her family, not afraid to speak her mind, an avid conversationalist, gifted seamstress and baker extraordinaire. Viewing is Thursday, Jan. 9 from 2 to 6 p.m. at Hanley Funeral Home with Mass at St. Ann's Church on Friday, Jan. 10 at 10 a.m. Cremation will follow.
