Russell Schreffler
Russell A. Schreffler 90 of Harrisburg, died Saturday, November 30, 2019 at his home. Mr. Schreffler was born in Pitman and was the son of the late William and Jennie Schreffler. He was retired from TRW and Chromalloy, where he was a machine operator. He was a member of the Mt. Calvary United Methodist Church and it's choir, where he was a soloist and sang at area weddings. He was a graduate of the former Hegins High School, where he enjoyed playing baseball. He was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, serving with the US Navy. Mr. Schreffler was predeceased by his grandson, David Prifer; his great-grandson, Brayden Prifer; his sister, Anna Schreffler; his brother, Marlin Schreffler. Mr. Schreffler is survived by his wife of 67 years, Carolyn Morgan Schreffler; his daughters, Diane (Robert) Fagan and Lori (Tracy) Yohn; his son, Brian (Nancy) Schreffler; ten grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; his twin sister, Ruby Hepler. Funeral Services will be on Friday, December 6, 2019 at 12 noon at the Mt. Calvary United Methodist Church, 175 N. Fairville Ave., Harrisburg. The Rev. James Copulos will be officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens with Full Military Honors. A Visitation will be held on Friday from 11 A.M. to 12 noon at the church, prior to the service. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Mt. Calvary United Methodist Church, 175 N. Fairville Ave., Harrisburg, Pa. 17112.
