Fortunata 'Tina' Palma Mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, grew up in Italy, 94 Fortunata "Tina" Palma (nee Florio), formerly of Glen Ridge, N.J., passed away on Saturday, Nov. 30, 2019 at the age of 94. Visitation will be held at the LaMonica Memorial Home, 145 E. Mt. Pleasant Ave., Livingston, N.J., on Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2019, from 4 to 8 p.m. Services will commence on Wednesday, Dec. 4. 2019 with a Mass of Christian Burial in Sacred Heart Church in Bloomfield, N.J., at 10 a.m. followed by the entombment in Madonna Cemetery in Fort Lee, N.J. Born and raised in Italy by the late Anthony and Caterina Florio, Fortunata immigrated to the U.S. in 1950, settling in New York City. She lived in North Grafton, Mass., and then moved to Glen Ridge, where she lived for 44 years before retiring to Cedar Crest Village in Pompton Plains, N.J., eight years ago. Fortunata worked as a clerical worker for The Prudential in Newark, N.J., for 10 years, retiring 40 years ago. She was the beloved wife of the late Domenico Palma, MD; loving mother of Tatiana Palma, Rocco Palma, Anthony Palma, and Gabriella Palma, MD; dear sister of Adelina Buccisano, and the late Mary Napoli and Paula Gaglioti; adored grandmother of Renee, Brett, Deanna, Sabrina, Patrick, Emily, Olivia, Caterina, and Sienna; cherished great-grandmother of Alex and Matthew, and beloved mother-in-law of Christine Grace, Christine Annette and James Semmens. In lieu of flowers, kindly make contributions to the American Cancer Society.
