Myrtle E. Hull PHILLIPSBURG, NJ Myrtle E. Hull, 91, of Phillipsburg, NJ, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2019, at St. Luke's Hospital - Warren Campus in Phillipsburg. Myrtle was born in White Township, Warren County, NJ, on Dec. 1, 1927. She was the daughter of the late Roy Thorpe and Elsie Bungert Thorpe. Her husband of 52 years, William C. Hull, passed away on Sept. 9, 2000. Myrtle previously lived in Stewartsville, NJ, for 32 years, and Palmer Township, Easton, PA, for 11 years before moving back to Phillipsburg, NJ, in 2008. She graduated from Phillipsburg High School, Class of 1945 Myrtle was formerly employed in the advertising department of Ingersoll-Rand Co. She volunteered at the Tracy Elementary School in Palmer Township for five years, helping in one of the kindergarten classes. Myrtle was a former member of The Friends and Neighbors Senior Citizens Club, serving five years on the Sunshine Committee. She was a member of The First Lutheran Church in Stewartsville, where she taught Sunday School. Myrtle is survived by one daughter, Linda D'Orlando and her husband, Edward, of Yardley, PA; two sons, William C. Hull Jr. and his wife, Patricia, of Olean, NY, and Scott Hull and his wife, Susan, of Wake Forest, NC; six grandsons, Christian, Cory and Kyle Hull, James and David D'Orlando, and Logan Hull; a granddaughter, Shaye Hull; two great-grandsons, Brady and Cooper Hull; two great-granddaughters, Nellie Hull and Penelope D'Orlando; sister-in law, Dorothy Thorpe; her dear friend, Marie Forini; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. A sister, Betty Hummer, and two brothers, Ray and Ronald Thorpe, preceded her in death. At Myrtle's request, there will be no calling hours. Burial of the cremains will be private at the Montana Cemetery. The Rupell Funeral Home, LLC, Phillipsburg, has been entrusted with the arrangements. The family requests memorials to the charity of one's choice, in lieu of flowers.
