John E. "Jack" Quigley Sr.
John E. 'Jack' Quigley Sr. Lifelong New Jersey resident; Navy veteran John E. "Jack" Quigley Sr., 86, of Caldwell, N.J., passed away on Nov. 22, 2019. A lifelong resident of New Jersey, Mr. Quigley was born and grew up in Newark, N.J., the son of Arthur and Mary Quigley and brother of Mrs. Marion McPhail (neé Quigley). Mr. Quigley served in the U.S. Navy as a quartermaster second class, receiving an honorable discharge prior to returning to civilian life. He is survived by his former wife, Marie E. Quigley of Manchester, N.J., and three children, John E. Quigley Jr. of Franklin, Mass., Mark R. Quigley of Tampa, Fla., and Mrs. Suzanne E. Deakin of Oxford, U.K. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, John R. Quigley, Timothy J. Quigley, Michael J. Quigley, Conor J. Quigley, Alison M. Quigley, Max A. Deakin, Alec J. Deakin and India J. Deakin. Visitation hours for Mr. Quigley will be held Tuesday, Dec. 3 at the Shook Farmer Funeral Home, 45 Roseland Ave., Roseland, N.J., shookfarmer.com , from 3 to 7 p.m. and a Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 4 at St. Aloysius Church, Caldwell. Interment will be private.
