John S. Guidice WWII veteran, maitre'd at the Manor and Birchwood Manor John S. Guidice, 93, of Livingston, N.J., passed away Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2019. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., to Giovanna and Frank Giudice, he served his country proudly in the U.S. Army during World War II. John worked for many years as maitre'd at the Manor in West Orange, N.J., and later at the Birchwood Manor in Whippany, N.J. John was predeceased by his brothers, Dominic/Samale, Frank/Dugan, Anthony/ Sparky, and Michael/Tarzan Giudice. He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Antoinette; his beloved children, Frank (Karen), Michael, and Gina Guidice; his adoring grandchildren, Stephen (Kira), Richard (Amy), Jeffrey (Fiona) Guidice, and Sami, Russlan, and Dani Tillawi; his cherished great-grandchildren, Leo, Giovanna, Gianna, Sara, and Nora Guidice, and his dear siblings, Catherine Mattero, Virginia/Dolly Dalessio, and James/Jimmy Giudice. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, 145 E. Mt. Pleasant Ave., Livingston, on Monday, Dec. 2, from 4 to 7 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Philomena Church, 386 South Livingston Ave., Livingston, on Tuesday, Dec. 3, at 10 a.m., followed by entombment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover, N.J. In lieu of flowers, donations in John's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38105, would be greatly appreciated.
