In memory of
Frank Pati
Mr. Frank Pati, 84, passed away quietly at home with friends on the evening of November 15, 2019 following a lengthy battle with COPD and Pulmonary fibrosis. A huge sports fan, Frank had been the co-owner/operator of Mages Sporting Goods in the old Palm Springs Mall from 1977-1993 and was well known with Palm Springs sports enthusiasts. A familiar face in senior softball leagues, he was an avid player in both Palm Springs, CA and Mesquite, NV where he earned the affectionate nickname of 'Mr. Senior Softball." In 2012, Frank was named as the first 'Nevada Senior Citizen of the Year' for creating and managing the Mesquite Senior Games which brought track and field, basketball, softball, archery and tennis to area seniors. He "retired" from active playing at aged 80. Frank chose cremation; his ashes will be mixed with those of his beloved wife, Betty, and scattered together at a future date by family members. Memorials in Frank's name can be made to Bridge Home Health and Hospice who provided care in his final days.
