Henry L. Hertel Evansville, IN - Henry L. Hertel, 80, of Evansville, passed away Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at his home surrounded by family. Henry was born February 24, 1939 in Evansville to the late Louis and Geraldine (Rohr) Hertel. He was a Catholic and a former member of Resurrection Catholic Church. Henry worked for Red Spot Paint for 38 years before retiring. He enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid hunter. Surviving Henry are his wife, Barbara Hertel; daughters, Chris Crews and Amy (Tom) Berkley; a son, Michael (Jennifer) Hertel; sisters, Maxine (Don) Russel and Cheryl Gough; brother, George Hertel; grandchildren, Hannah (David) Perigo, Haley Crews, Preston (Hannah) Hertel, Paxton Laubscher, Kayla Hertel, Kyra (Lance) Ferguson, Wyatt Hertel and Rachel Hertel and three great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Henry was preceded in death by a son, Mark Hertel in 2013. Funeral services for Henry will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, November 30, 2019 at Pierre Funeral Home, Deacon Tom Goebel officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 12:00 PM until service time on Saturday at the funeral home. Private burial will be held in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery on Monday, December 2, 2019.
